Fair Internet Oregon is a growing statewide coalition focused on one thing: leveling the playing field so every Oregonian has access to fast, reliable internet — like high-speed fiber — at a fair price.

We’re working to eliminate inconsistent and unfair tax policies on internet service — like Salem’s 7% tax on new providers — that are applied unequally, drive up costs, and hold families and communities back. These policies stifle competition, deepen inequality, and make it harder for people across Oregon to get and stay connected.

By modernizing these rules and applying them fairly to all providers, we can expand access, increase provider options, and lower monthly bills — building a digital future where every household, school, first responder, healthcare provider, small business, and rural community can connect, compete, and thrive.
